I got bored to tears today, and even tho I have no APOC book to tell me the weapons and such on a stompa, I made a paintshop doodle. I figure if I go through with this most likely one of the legs will be replaced by some type of Orkyness. Anywho, hope you guys enjoy it. Also throw some ideas my way..... seeing as Ive no clue what really goes on these things or how much they cost lol



Ok I got this guy from a family friend as a joke to me. I got thinking, he might be the right size for a Stompa. 10 inches to his head and 12 to his fists.
Obviously it needs some extensive work. Ill actually have to try my luck at some *gasp* SCULPTING?!!?!?! Anywho I havnt seen a stompa in person in a long time, and when i did, I didnt measure it. It looks to be about the same size.
So some face molding, armor, guns you know the typical doom. Anywho there is a couple boyz and a nob at his feet for good measure. Is it about the right siize for a stompa or what?!?!?

That would be pretty insane! Just make sure the body parts are mechanical and the head has some kind of massive jaw!

That screams stompa to me!! Do it!!

Yep, I was thinking of remold some of the face to give it teef and a general overall Ork look. And deffinetly a giant iron gob. I was thining making one are an entire gun section, kindda like the guns on a mega nob. The other.... possibly a gigantic power klaw for a counts as.... chainsword? Hell honestly I dont even have the rules for a stompa lol. I just thought this would be the cats ass.

Yea, I think the GW stompa looks a bit wierd, like as if its wearing a skirt! lol. Didnt know what to think until I saw the orks at his feet in the photo there, and Now I reckon it wuld be really good. definately change the head, and definately mechanize it up, and fire on sum armour places and loads of cables and stuff, but its a really good Idea.

I Actually fancy doing sum orky conversion again, been spending too much time on Crimson Fists and they dont involve nearly enough blobs of green and cables and general mesh!

Thats true, SM have to be clean and neat, where as ORks, you can practically put glue on the mini, and just throw a bucket of random junk on them, and whatever sticks.... looks orky lol.
I wont work on this idea until I get the stompa rules, like I said before, no sense in building it wrong, to to break it and do it again. Im even thinking as far as a "helmet" type contraption instead of the head, just incase my sculpting is as bad as I think it is lol. But yea, a mile of cables and wires, some robo parts, maybe an Ice Cream truck, who knows its all fair game to me

(other than the one SM, and the Ork bust is horrible IMO)

They say that on some planets, the Orks get HUGE. This one got MASSIVE! Let it "count as" a Stompa in games of Apoc - be sure to Ork it Up.

In all honesty the inspiration I got from it, was mainly due to the fluff story in the Ork dex about that warboss and his boyz that got sucked into the eye or terror, and were stuck forever on that demon world, doomed to fight and die forever and ever.
Basically I thought, now it they kept on growing from battle, they would have to be as big and bad as a stompa.

I still think I might end up making a helmet type deal instead of sculpting..... simply because I know I cant sculpt lol.

I find it Ironic that, out of all the giant mechanical bipeds roaming the 41st millenium, the one made by the orks is the one that will almost never fall over. The skirt will not let it fall over.
