They look great. The arms and hulls look a lot more detailed than in the old metal minis.

Makes me really want to start protectorate. I disliked the jacks, but liked the fiery aspect of the faction. I think it might be a good time to start a faction of menoth now

The cryx Coruptor one I really do not like, but I would like a extra slayer or a reaper, so I will get that for the older 2 options. Maybe make a conversion for a defiler with the bits of the corruptor...

The cygnar jack is nice, but not the best I've seen. Not needing it I will not buy it for now.

I do not see any use for the Khador jack in my current collection, but the buzzsaw and the cannon are really nice conversion potential in my orks. Not going to buy them for that though...

I love the new Khador hull look. It's much closer to the way the artwork presents the Khador heavy hull, with a higher back and side plates that slope up to a more streamlined shape.

I mean, just compare the behemoth's mini to the artwork, you'll notice even more of a difference. The Behemoth in art looks way better than the model.

I also noticed they fixed some of the proportion issues on the legs of heavies. The khador jack looks closer in proportion (not size) to the extreme juggernaut's proportions, so there's less weirdness with the tiny legs.

I picked the Corruptor. I actually like the Cyclone best but I'm a Cryx man.

Those wanting to buy these to make older warjacks (eg. Slayer) should shop around for the old metal ones as many of the old blisters may still have old prices on them.

If you want any of the heavies in this kit, just pickup a small sheet of modeling sheet metal and a pair of Rare Earth Magnets. 3 Jacks for the price of one!

I play Tau in 40K and Cygnar reminds me of them too much(shooty army) I wan't to play something different( i.e. melee or assasination/denial).

Don't get me wrong I love my Tau, but I would like some thing that offers a more flexible play style.

All of the factions have multiple play styles. WM its drastically different than 40k in that way. I'm bringing Epic Stryker in for a game tonight -- total Cygnar melee beatdown!

Interesting, it seemed to me that almost all the tactica i have ready insists that Cygar's main proficiency is ranged fire power with decent melee jacks to back it up.

Personally though I really want to play an assassination styled army i.e. Cryx, Retribution, Mercs

As a practicing Menite, I hate to say it but the Cyclone is damn spiffy.

Read some articles on eStryker, Caine, eCaine or Siege, they are all assassination casters. Basically Cygnar's main proficiency is ranged fire power, but the individual casters play with their strengths. The only assassination type, which is missing from cygnar, is spell assassin.

eHaley can do spell assassin, just in a less conventional way. Timebomb enemy caster, Telekenisis to turn enemy caster backwards in front of your army, and then kill enemy caster with your army.

That seems to be more of a board control thing.

I play Cygnar and you have to add Nemo and eNemo to the assasination caster list. He does it through boosting jacks but it is all the same.

It feels pretty similar to Denegrah popping feat and then dropping crippling grasp on enemy caster and killing caster with pistol wraiths. The pow 14 from time bomb does some pretty decent damage and drops def by 2. Then telekenisis to give back shots to friendly models and you're essentially looking at def -4. I've killed eVlad with the combo more times than I can count!

Hmm, I may have to start including Reinholdt with eHaley. The reroll from the squire + eHaley's 8 focus pretty much guarentee you'll hit with a boosted attack roll. Use Rienholdt to give you an extra die on the damage roll and drop the lowest. you may not even need to telekinesis against some casters.

Cyclone.

As a Battletech fan, if I see a big stompy robot, I want GUNS. Only an idiot would get in close combat with a jack, so I want my jack to be able to gun people down.

Hopefully it is a bit more deadly thatn the Sentinel.

I was going to try one out with what I think it will have.
Probably an Ironclad's grid and stat line.
Use the Open fistx2.
Add Sentinel gun with 2d6 shots.
Probably +2pts to field.

I would take it with 2 Hunters with the GunMage list I want to make.
Caine1, B13, ATGM, Jr (to run a hunter). Oh, yeah, A&H.
Probly squishy, but the Cyclone gives a Heavy hull to worry about.
