Anime is a blight on society. Its bad enough its all over TV, its worse when you go to a school where the ugly girls think its cute to dress exactly like anime cartoons, from the stupid blue/pink spiked hair, to the stupid mini-skirts and hello kitty backpacks. Fecking Ridiculous.

Why cant people just watch something for what it is , without caring the medium its expressed in?
I think the art director for the video did a great job , i was both awed and laughing while watching the video .

Because its anime. It is like grinding glass into your retinas. And I live in a place where it is constantly shoved on you as the highest form of art and entertainment, when it is only slightly above those things you draw on the wall as a toddler.

Grave of the fireflies, Ninja Scroll, Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop... I mean seriously, it is obviously not the pinnacle of all art, but to call it anything less than decent when done effectively, is little more than personal taste. Oh, and your face is made out of paperclips and pencil sharpeners too...

I don't think you've watched much anime apart from Dragon Ball (what a terrible, terrible name...) and Pokemon. Try watching Deathnote or Spice and Wolf.

I agree Otakus are bad, but they are not Anime fans. Otakus/Weeabos are the problem, they are the obsessed crazy ones that create such a bad image of this genre overall.

99 % of anime is totally lame. There is some good and interesting anime, but not too much. The anime you see in the West is the 'best' stuff. That's da best of da best. Only little kids, immature jr.high school kids and hardcore nerds love anime in Japan. I'd rather make a Warhammer mini and paint it than watch anime as it totally blows. Then again, I'm a huge nerd.

Back in the day I watched fist of the northstar, akira, ghost in the shell and most of the time I had no idea what was going on.
Robotech, yes I know it is 3 non linked shows meshed together for Americans but that for me is the highlight of anime.... and the chicks STILL had non naturally coloured hair.
