Hey,
First off I'll say I do know what tabling means, but I'm just needing to know what its parimeters are. By this I mean if say for example you loose all your forces on turn two, yeah that is being tabled. but if you have whole army reserved and two units come on, if they die are you tabled or only once all your forces have come on in future turns if they all die by end of turn 5?
The next quiery is if you have say two squads on the table turn one. Both died, you have reserves though which cannot come on until turn two... are you tabled or does the enemy jst run out of targets for a turn until they possibly come in.
suppose what I'm asking is what outcomes/situations lead to game over and tabled bar the entire army being killed turn two etc.
Thanks

If they still have reserves left they aren't tabled. So if you get rid of all of them then the reserves finally appear and you kill them, I guess they would be tabled.

In order to win the game the opponent must destroy the entire ARMY, NOT the army on the board. So you aren't tabled and beaten until every unit is wiped out.

"If your opponent has no units left on the board at the end of the game, you automatically win, regardless of victory conditions, blah blah blah." Note that the game has to end normally, but once your opponent has nothing left on the board or in reserve, you usually get a concession anyways.

IIRC the rules don't actually address this possibility (even if that pic of the guys kroot keeping the enitre White Scars army off the table is hilarious) and the gmae system crashes as play cannot continue without a rule being broken.

What about a DS mishap result of "delayed" on turn 5 and a roll of "game over" at the end of the turn?
That is a unit that is not on the table, and cannot come on because the game is over.

That's covered though, "no units on the table at the end of the game" same as any reserves just failing to arrive before the last turn.
If the game is in progress and units have to deploy, but cannot be deployed legally, the game doesn't say what to do.

It's like the surrounding a Dark Eldar webway portal or Necron Monolith getting blown up, or blocking the exit points on a transport. I'd rule that they count as destroyed.

No doubt that's an entirely reasonable way to rule as a tourney judge or whatnot, but the game system itself is silent on the issue.

That is a unit that is not on the table, and cannot come on because the game is over.
And that is specifically covered in the DS rules, under the Dealyed entry:
If the unit is unlucky enough to roll this result in turn 5 or later and then the game ends while it is still in reserve, it sadly counts as
destroyed.

Ah, thanks for the info people. I'd a terrible feeling that if all your units on the table were gone the reserves didn't get a chance to turn up and it was game over.

Units that cannot legally exit a transport are removed as casualties.
Its in the 5th BRB somewhere, i'm sure, because I learned it the day AFTER I forgot about my 'nid opponent's spore mines being in reserve as well as the entire army of stealers and the stupid Marbo imitation, and let one of my chimeras get mined to death with the access points blocked. I also learned the emergency disembark rule, which fails to specify if you can use it when the vehicle is destroyed, but also fails to say you cant. (Thus, apparently, from the TOs at GW nottingham, the plasmavets inside could have lived to toast some stealers).
EDIT: (also, think about it: My bait force of guardsmen has been eaten by the 'nids faster than expected, so the reinforcements in Valkyries decide not to turn up and revenge themselves, but instead to go home, and happen to be shot down on route. really? More like they turn up anyway, and have clearer lines of fire due to lack of friendly fire risks.)
