Hi guys, just about to start my vamp army and want to go with the grey/blue/pallid skin tone instead of flesh... Seen a lot of this about but cant find any guides

Any tips?

Cheers

My Orks are being painted with grey skin and my recipe is really quite simple.
Prime White
Base coat with Vallejo Cold Grey
Cover skin with GW Black Wash to bring out highlights
After painting the whole model gets a wash with devlan mud.

Instead of the develan mud maybe you could try a watered down wash of the Asurman Blue. that would give the skin a light bluish hue over top of the grey.

MY friend does it by adding grey to the highlights as opposed to white or bone.

I think that's how he does it anyway...

I'll try to get pictures of this later today since I really should get some shots of my finished CSM army anyway but here is what I did wth my Daemon Princes:

Prime black
basecoat Foundation light Grey (can't remember the name... the lightest hue of grey though, looks a lot like fortress grey)
wash with extremely diluted Hormagaunt purple (don't know the exact mix as I eyeballed it but it sohuld be as thin as a wash... you should only really see it in the recesses and it should be tinting the grey with a purplish hue, not outright turning it purple)
First highlight with Space Wolves Grey
Final highlight with Skull White

I've painted some Ghouls and a couple of Daemon Princes with this method and I'll try to get pics up later today if possible.
