....that NEVER reminds me when it has run out.

I know there are a lot of folks on the board that avoid the WD. Sure, it is light on content at times but I don't mind it so much and take it for what it is... a catalog with some added content.

But I can't for the life of me understand why I don't get one reminder that "this is your last issue". Every other magazine I subscribe to I get at least 15 pieces of mail reminding me to sign back up (usually starting 9 months out from last issue). Even my last issues gets a big plastic wrap around it stating... WARNING this is IT.

Shoot, I still get mail from magazines I canceled years ago begging me to sign back on. I just don't get why it isn't important to keep readership up. Now this is the second time (both times I have got 2 year subs).

I thought that was odd too. Maybe is't because the majority of potential subscribers only stay in 'the hobby' for 18 months or so.

That is odd...I got a letter through about my sub running out last week.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Really? Maybe a difference US/UK distributorship? The issue I have is I never know if it truly hasn't made it to me or my subscription is at an end. Inevitably I wait a second month to make sure.

Mine ended without a reminder. Seems a bit sloppy. Still the antipathy was mutual!

counts down every month...
people are usually too excited to tear it off, and get to the pretty pictures, to notice though, probably...
