Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone from Dublin can give me any advice on Gaelcon. I'm going to be in the city this week for the Dublin Marathon and found some info on this con.
Has anyone gone to this con? If so what did you think? Do they have a dealer room? Just wanted to know if it was worth my time to swing by and kill some time on Sunday.
Also if anyone has any good suggestions for places to eat/pubs I would be grateful.
Thanks
Patrick

Good to hear that you're visiting, pity it's not the real capital though(cork vs dublin rivalry). I myself won't be going to dublin due to othr commitments but i highly recommend it. there's normally a few trade stands and you'll be garunteed a pic up game if you drag along your army on sunday. Competition is normally good fun and i have fond memories of playing with a fellow drunkard.quite fun until we dropped the pints on the table.
Roleplaying and ccgs are also the norm and while not as big as some of the US cons, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it.

You're probably running right now, but if you did make it to Gaelcon I hope you got a proper Irish welcome and had a good time.
I didn't get to go, but I heard that the 40K tournament was mighty. I'll be there next year.

First time at Gaelcon and it was brill. Lots of good players & good sports still keeping an edge. Won't miss the next one and I think some spectators that arrived Sunday only will defo be playing next year. Well done to the organisers!

I couldn't go again this year due to lack of moolah, but I hear it was a good con, lots of good competition and friendly and well run.

Yep I made it there but not till Sunday. I got to meet some great people and the guy that is running the store over by the river. Great guy and he had a really nice shop. Lots of nice armies. I did get to stay for dr horrible and the auction. Does anyone have pics of the titan the auctioned off?
It really was a nice con.
Thanks for the advice everyone...
