holy crap. i just realized that my painting is getting worse with each model.... why is this?
also i need info on a place to get very long lasting brushes that keep points well..... i hate mine

Good rule of thumb when it comes to brushes is that you get what you pay for. Reaper has an excellent Kolinski sable line. They'll take care of you until you don't take care of them. Larger craft stores sometimes have a good brush selection also. The trick to a good brush - push it gently down toward your palm, then release it. If it springs back into shape, you should be good! Try different types also. Nylon, sable, etc. Some will work better for certain things than others.

Are you thinning your paints at all? ...it will make a huge difference when you do. Once you get comfortable with thinning in your paint pot, you can try using a pallet - which is ideal for high level painting.

Get a few (size 0 and size 1) Winsor & Newton Series 7 brushes... they are the best you can get really.
