In contrast to the "Most Overpriced Model" discussion, I thought we should discuss the kits which can be considered (to a certain extent) to be of good value.
My opinion would be the Dark Angels Veterans: Only £12 for some very nice models along with loads of different weapons and a ton of upgrade parts for other units.
What other kits do you think are relatively good value?

I think the standard ol box of boyz is a good deal. WAY more bitz in there then you need for 10 boyz for $22 (well GW price, the store I get them at they are $19 EVEN BETTER!)
Not to mention I think the boyz look great

I think some of GW terrain is the best deal. The Temple of Skulls is HUGE, but is only $30. The detail is great, and it paints up easily.

I'd agree that GW terrain is pretty good value for money, but their best value set has to be AOBR both in terms of the no. of minis and the quality of the figures themselves.

Dark Angels Ravenwing set I think its called; The one with 6 bikes a Attack bike and Landspeeder.
For 90 bucks.
90 bucks gets you 5 bikes alone. throw in the value for the landspeeder and the attack bike you have a fantastic deal.

Agreed, this kit is a Chaos kit bashers dream (I did several conversions/upgrades with the last one I had),however I dont know so much about overlooked (at least not where I live),I went to 3 FLGS last night looking for one,and all 3 were sold out.
Also have to agree with KC about Ork boyz and will throw in the Ork Nobz box to boot.

I like the lootas/burnas set. Combined with some extra boys you get a unit of both.
Same with the SM devastators set. You get a lot of heavy weapons troops when combined with a tactical marines set. It beats the heck out of the old days of buying a bunch of metal devastators to flesh out your marine heavy weapons.

The Baneblade. It's a massive kit, solid as a rock, nicely detailed, and at 500pts for $100 is reasonably efficient.

The new Space Wolves Pack. Loads of extra bitz to easily convert Wolf Lords/WGBLs and it fits perfectly with the normal SM kits.

How `bout the `cron BF. Over 65€ worth for 50€ may not sound like much, but you get freaking 750pts!! Compare that to the guards or ork set!

As if on cue, you hear two people singing from the stairwell, and the door is opened and a pair of very smelly, very dirty guardsmen stumble in, completely drunk, and covered in vomit, and immediately collapse unconsious on the porch. You drag them to their beds, realising that they will not be waking up for some time. |

I'm going to give a nod to the Drop Pod. Sure its 35 bucks for more or less a terrain piece. But the Pod itself is pretty large, really detailed on the inside, and actually has some weight to it. For some reason 35 for a pod just feels like your getting more kit than say the same 35 bucks for a rhino.
