Props to Reaper6 for getting me started here, and introducing me to dakka.

Like he said, I'm newly back in the hobby and looking for feedback, so here's the Lord again (in my own name this time ):

BlackDracoSLC, n0t_u, Valkyrie, randmfrog & Flashman : Thanks, getting such good responses shows I'm heading in the right direction (and helped me make up my mind about joining dakka)

Looks tight mate.

I'm not a fan of the green plastic but its a personal thing so don't worry too much lol .

Im gong to comment on the base, its pretty sweet. I like the Necron poking out of the ground.

I personally would dull the gold down a bit then try and build it up with highlighting. If you have any washes, water down some badab black and give it a few coats. Don't go to crazy though. Then maybe glaze (really thinned down wash) it with a colour like blue, purple or green. Try it on a bit of sprue first to see if you like it first though.

I'd like to see more of your stuff.

And finally welcome to Dakka mate.

Of course, as an American, that means I must say that soccer sucks, and football (real football... you know, the one where you do everything with your hands) is 10,000 times as good. I mean, football players could probably beat up soccer players, even, because they actually know sports.

Great idea with the necron emerging underneath

I do agree with Slappywag there. The gold is pretty overpowering imo. Maybe start with a base of snakebite leather and work up to it . . . ive heard some people even highlight with mithril silver but im not sure how that would work

Id put some decals along the middle of the destroyer base or freehand some runes/symbols . . he is a Lord after all

Looks good. I like the clearly distinct black lines around the six side "pods", where they go from silver to gold.

The warscythe is missing the small cap so it looks kinda weird, although I don't blame you if you lost it - I have two warscythes missing their caps

The gold could use a bit of highlighting with a 50/50 mix of silver/gold, assuming you're using citadel paints (Mithril Silver and Shining Gold works great). I personally like the gold thus far but it could use a lot more depth - highlighting around the edges would work well.

I really like the stark Silver/Gold colors you got going there. The green plastic crystals on the base is something I've also wanted to do if I ever get around to basing my guys (unlikely). The Necron coming out of the ground is cool, but I think you should have chosen a more disposable one like a Warrior, rather than a Destroyer with a fully ready gun.
