How many Warriors do you take in a squad? Is it more effective to have several small units of ten, fewer 20 man squads, or some kind of middle ground?

I'd imagine it varies depending on what you are facing.

I'd guess about 10-15. To try to keep any sweeping advance casualties to a minimum.

10, it minimizes casualties from losing a single assault. Sweeping advance really packs necron fudge in tight. I have played against them twice in 5th. Both games have seen the lord with 20 warriors going off the table because my terminators got a charge off and swept them away.

When you say "swept" what you mean is forced them to fall back off a board edge, right?

If you split them into many smaller squads hlding objectives becomes alot easier

Yus, that my terminators forced them off the table edge. Sorry i forgot about sweeping advance, and the fact that its possible to murder 20 warriors with yriel in one go.

stick with minimum sized squads, and hide from CC.
