Finished my new russ finally. I magnetized all the weapons so I can run it as a Punnisher, Demolisher or Executioner. I will probably mostly run it as a punnisher with Knight Commander Pask since he has BS4

This was also my first time using powder pigments for the dirt and stuff. It looked a lot better before I sprayed varnish on it, don't know if the air from the can made the pigments blow away or what. So I might go back over it to dirty it up more, but here it is for now

Wadaya think?

looks sick man, similar to my scheme. Assembled mine a while ago, but due to lack of knowledge about magnetizing i put it off for now. what magnets did you use on the russ if i may ask? and what size? tools etc? thank you.

Here's the magnets I used

Not really sure I needed them though, the weapons seem to fit in pretty snug, I don't think they'd fall out when you play, just the layer or 2 of paint on the piece that fits inside should be enough to make the stub stay inside pretty good.

The pigments didn't blow away (unless you sprayed from too close) - it's just how they go when varnished.

You often need to do several coats to get a very dusty effect.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

As soon as I get around to having a print shop print me some 100 Internet bills, I'll mail you some.

Cap'n Gordino's instant grammar guide:
"This is TOO expensive." "I'm going TO the store, TO get some stuff."
"That is THEIR stuff." "THEY'RE crappy converters."
"I put it over THERE." "I'll go to the store THEN."
"He knows better THAN that." "This is NEW." "Most players KNEW that."

Nice work.

The flamers could do with some blackening around the muzzle.

The weathering is nice, even if a little understated.

love the color scheme.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

This paint scheme makes me happy. The weathering is indeed understated, but rather nice.

A Punisher with Pask and all those bolters will be a fun toy on the battlefield! 29 shots at BS4... that's a LOT of dakka.
