Disclaimer: I think this kind of army, with so many planes, is not nearly as good as it sounds. The squadron rules are very dangerous, and because of them, you are only putting down three units at the start of the game - you'd better get first turn or start in reserve, because every turn before your squads disembark is a golden opportunity for your opponent to concentrate firepower.

First: I don't think you can have 3 special weapons AND a heavy flamer, the limit is 3 of those in total. I would suggest that at least some of your veterans need meltaguns instead. When you list the plasma-vet unit as having meltabombs, you mean the sergeant has one right?

I would strip the PF, grenades and standard upgrades off the CCS (keep the advisor by all means) and get 3-4 special weapons. Mmmmm, taste that BS4. Altogether you have 5 units that can be loaded with weapons. I advise 1 plasma squad, 2-3 melta squads and 1-2 flamer squads, but you should obviously look at your regular opponents and the targets they present. Max out weapons before you consider upgrading flamers to heavy flamers.

Priests - why? They are not going to make this list good in assault, it doesn't have enough attacks. And the priests have no bodies to hide behind anyway, so they will be killed before they can strike - 1W, T3, 4+Sv ICs are not a very safe investment. I would scrap these guys, and the ratlings (who are not a big enough unit to survive taking casualties or to reliably cause pinning tests) for another plane. Spend the spare 30 points on a demolitions upgrade for a vet unit.

Those changes should give your list a lot more firepower, and less points wasted on unfocused units. Good luck, and never start on the table if you're going second!

I recommend taking a gander at my latest AirCav list. That is the culmination of all of my testing, really. It is fun, but not that competitive.
