hi everyone.

i just came 2nd place in a turnament and won enough money to buy either an AOBR box (hopeing i can borrow some money from my parents) or 2x boxes burna boyz

i want to convert the terminators and dreadnought to ork stuff
(terminators to meganobz and dreadnought to deff dread)

i already got 70 ork boyz, 4 meganobz and 2 deff dreads, but no burna boyz.

go with the burna boyz since you have enough of the other stuff .

They are both great deal , if you have left over ork boy body , you can in theory make :

1 mek
4 lootas
5 burna boys

from 1 box.

Get the burna boys...

Next, order additional legs and bodies from either of these guys (standard ork boyz will work as well as burna/loota)

and having ordered them (8 bodies and 8 legs if your getting 2 boxes of burnas) you can then make the lootas as well!

So you'll have 8 burnas, 2 meks (just convert a bit to be more burnas) and 8 lootas.

I've done this myself and it works fine and you save a good amount.

how is not having 5 mega nobz and a dread a bad thing

its your choice and it would depend on your modelling skillz, but c'mon all those orks! plus all those space amrines!!!

for the AOBR box you would get so much mroe for your money

Because the Loota box comes with enough burna bits to make 5 burna boys :'p ( or vice versa )
Its not exactly cheap $ wise , so if we can put all the bits to good use , we will!

Even though i dont have a ork truk , i imagine 12 burna boys ( riding in the truk ) and their templates will kill almost anything below T5

yeh, i already tried to make a normal dreadnought (not AOBR) to a deff dread, and it went pretty good, and i can make those tactical marines to burna boyz or lootas.

i got some shoulder pads for that, but if there ain't enough, i just make some plates out of plastic card

btw. i got some spare nob heads to do this

Those are some decent-looking Terminators-to-Meganobs.

In order to do it, though, you are going to really need a lot of bits from the plastic Nob box.

yeh. i already made some pks, combi skorcha and twin-linked shootas. one of the pks from a dread fist and one from a carnifex crushing claw. the 3 other terminators is going in the bits box until i get my hands on another nobs box.

I vote for the Burna boyz, there is something amazing about putting 10 templates onto a squad....

i already got 4 lootas with a big shoota armed mek just so you know.

maybe (and only maybe), i can borrow some little money to buy 3 burna boyz boxes

maybe (and ONLY maybe) i could buy more 'nids

Well thats an easy answer. Burna boyz can either flame the ever loving piss out of an enemy squad OR assult said squad and all their attacks count as power weapons. So you tell me how is 20+ power weapon attacks a bad thing? A squad of burna boyz is a terminator squad KILLER. I mean its Ork boyz, the back bone of an Ork army, soing what they do best...... WITH POWER WEAPON ATTACKS!

So I say go for Burnas(if your going to buy Ork stuff) Thats the next thing I plan on buying. Burnas are just bad asses

let me assure you that 20 burna boyz in an open top battlewagon with a big mek with KFF and PK is one scary bastard unit...

If you've got that trundling along and then stick a warboss in a nob biker unit (or even regular bikers) the trick is to have more than one 'orrible unit like that and freak the opponent out with trying to decide target priority whilst your 'umble boyz claimz tha objectives or jumps da enemies wots not payin dem attenshun!

yeh i got the point. burna boyz iz best! and i even gets a full squad (without meks) of lootas (i got 11+ ork bodies n legs in my bitz box )

You can only have 15 burna boyz in a unit, but still devistating. I put 10 in two Battle Wagons and send em screaming forward. I love seeing the look on my opponent's face when I have to roll 60 (one time 70) dice to put wounds on his squad. What's even more fun is putting a Deffrolla on the wagon crunch into the enemy unit and clean up with the burnas.

hmmmmm. my battlewagon already got deff rolla, so i can send a full 15 boyz mob with my warlord instead of 4 meganobz (or i take both with me!)

Burna boyz all the way. Terminators are terrible for meganob conversions. Terminator meganobs are a cardinal sin of bad converting. People always think they're a good idea but they always look awful.

Get the lootas/burnas. They're more fun.
