Hiya. Well, this is my newest attempt at a 40k chapter. Usually my models end up as the testmodel in "Turn signals on a landraider" (pretty good webcomic)
I'll try to do regular updates. With my job it's quite harsh to predict when and how I'll be able to paint. I'm not the best painter in the world as I've mostly been interested in the background/fluff of the game, I'm however VERY interested in criticism, so anything you don't like (or like ofc) please comment on it!

I'll post some stories about the chapter asw, I've done some battle reports in *story mode* before, and I hope these will get as warm a reception as those did! =)

My first model in the new chapter. The black reach set Dread.

Early version Marine (Only one more semi-done, but It's far more "extremely" highlighted, like the termie, and got more blacklining asw, will post as soon as it's done!

How my Terminatiors will look - Anyone got any good ideas how to highlight the fist and/or paint the bolter?

Any C&C is welcome!

Thanks beforehand ^^

uhh for the fist you could do a light gray like astronomican and the highlight with pure white or go wtih a darker gray for an even mroe striking highlight

These are pretty good for the first try, though you should look at the Washes and some tuts on Youtube.

If I had a dollar for every dollar I spent I'd have all my money back.

I would basecoat all your white areas with astronomicon grey and then go white from that. It will look much smoother and be a more striking white.

@Deffskulz: Aye, that's somehow how I was planning it. Just not sure how to apply it over such a large area. Thanks though =)

@Brotheralexos: Any specifics?, Where/how with the washes, what tutorials? Thanks for the input.

@Joyous_Oblivion: I'm using codex grey on the Terminator (the greaves) think it works quite nicely ^^. Appreciate the tip

Aaand here is an update!

I'm not sure atm, sitting here thinking wether I like white trim or grey trim on my shoulderpads the best. Any input is appreciated as I'm pretty much 50/50 atm.

Here is a pic of the most recent Marine, with grey trimming (easily turned into white if people like that better!)

Any C&C is very much appriciated!

looks like it's gonna be a nice chapter fosho ! The white trim reminds me of BA's , even though they dont look like them .. wierd ..

Well, they are in general the same as BA exept for the trim. Think I'm acually going for the grey trim however. Like the darker shade against the red.

The Termies will still be in white to show them of as a more special unit though. Going to start with the chaptermaster soon I think. Just not sure what model to use for him =/

Also going to try for about 1000 pts painted by december 1st

Hey. Decided to paint a Dark Angel Marine with a Power Sword and Plastma Pistol as my Chaptermaster. The armor will be the red I usually use, the powersword will be green and the plasma pistol blue.

But what color should the robes be? I'm thinking black with a hard grey highlight. Can't really see how It'll fit with my general color scheme any other way. Altough I'm very grateful for any other ideas/tips.

How are you with painting on corners? I think the Bolter highlights could be more
subtle if you applied the gray strictly along the corners of the gun.
