Our local forum is painting fantasy so I picked this boss outta my never ending pile of unpainted Waaagh.
I'm not why I didn't clean up the mold lines (even after starting). He was mostly a test as I used several different bone recipes for the skull, tusks, Ax pommel, Shield teeth and hooves. I also tried several different brown recipes and played with the metallics a bit.. I was quite happy with the boar base and hair. cheers.

Very nicely done.
Other than the mould lines, I would suggest that the armour plates and chainmail on the boar could stand to be slightly different shades, to help the detail stand out a little better... Just running another wash over the chainmail would probably help that.
The shield is particularly nice.

Your skin is rather nice (err, the Orks...), would you mind describing how you did it?
The boar as a whole and the shield are very good indeed!

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

The skin is Gretchin Green with Thraka over the top. Then another layer of Grethin. Worked up with Reaper Master series Rotting Flesh and Moldy Flesh. Additional washes of a "brown Green" and black green in the muscles.

Nice i really like it.
I might have a go with this recipe. I think it will look good with some subtle glazes of blue round the lips and such too.

Yea...but it matches the rest of the figs which have been painted at various points along the last 4 years.
