I converted some high Elves into Rough Riders using medical tape and a carving knife. I removed the reigns on the horses and covered the high elf bodies in srtips of medical tape which i painted various shades of brown (to look like strips of leather or hide). I can't attach image to this message because i'm doing it on the computer at school but you can see my R.R. in my Gallery, (first 3 pics.)

I'm thinking on that unit and... perhaps scout space marine bike is a good alternative.

I had the exact same idea, the only thing being I used those cadian heads with the helmet that's hanging ajar from the head. also I going to put democharges on the tips of the spears and use greenstuff to make it look like it was duck taped there

Space Marine bikes would certainly look cool but they are fairly expensive, you can get at least five high elf riders for the price of 3 bikes, I did origionaly want to do bikes but i didn't have enough money .

Although I have used a SM scout bike as the basis for my "counts as" Mogul (on a much larger "iron horse"
