I'm happy with it.

It's on my WIP Kharn - check him out in Blogs and shizzle...

I need to do some subtle trails here and there and clean up a bit, i am happy with it though.

I kinda just did it without reference pics or anything. So it might not be too accurate lol.

Yep, it does look pretty good! It even looks the way I'd envision the weathering to look, given that it would be caused by pooling water, etc.

Isn't it verdigris, though?

I'm trying to figure out if that effect would look good on the autocannon shells for a Sentinel.

Thanks insaniak, I'm glad people think it looks good. I was worried it would look too much, but i think if im going to do it it needs to be in all the right spots.

I need to do some final highlight's to the bronze and tidy the verdigris up a little, maybe add some more in places it would inevitably gather (the top of the brass around the bottom of the leg armour).

For my third model i think its coming on well...this is also my first time dry-brushing.

If you want to make it look more realistic, see if you can find photos of old bronze statues. Heck, the Statue of Liberty isn't a bad reference point either.

Try adding a very thin wash of jade green to get the verdigris to stand out a bit more. eg -

picture's not that great but focus on the vents on the top of the carapace or the edging to the shoulder pad.

Yeah thats a much better pic.

I need to get my mix right. I have Hawk Turquoise coming, so a little mix of green and I should have a better colour.

What did you use for that?

I too like it. I think its a little heavy on the flat spots like ontop of his...uh horns? Helmet antennae? Whatever, other then that tho, it looks pretty good. Adds alot of depth to you mini so far

Thanks King, i didn't know what to call them in my blog so i went with Horns ha ha.

Yeah i dunno about the flat bits on top because water would definitely collect and stay there - it does look a bit much.

I've made the Verdigris more vibrant now so its really in your face... dunno if its good or not now though...ha ha

Ill see if i can get some more than likely crappy photos up.
