Just bought a leftover Apoc box with the 3 basilisks. It's been nagging at me to buy it since, well, Apocalypse came out, TBH. And I've finally succumbed. Anyway, I got it in my mind that my new IG army was going to have a Manticore in it, and for Apoc games it would have 3. Legio Manticora. Defends the Manticore forgeworld. Anyway, would it be possible to build the basilisks in such a way as to magnetize it and be able to swap the Basilisk top for the Manticore top? I'm looking at getting the FW Manticore conversion kit (don't have one yet).

Just don't glue the baseplate that the Earthshaker sit on to the Chimera hull. The baseplate slides easily enough in and out, and you can make another add on to slide in the same place.

Thanks. I was hoping that was the case. I was afraid that the FW conversion would include more than that, like the whole top of the chimera.

I don't have a forgeworld manticore but it might be possible to add a slide plate on. I thought you'd be scratchbuilding you manticore.

That is not a bad idea, I'm sure the toy stores would have plenty of missiles I could slap on there...

If you want something more detailed look for a 1/35 or 1/48 scale BTR-70 tank or a MIM-23 Hawk missile battery to whack on the top.
