you can have a chaos lord deep strike with termies. Well what about if a lord with wings wanted to drop in with some raptors, or maybe come in with some lesser daemons, or oblits?

If the above is no, can he deep strike within 2" to auto join? Or will he have to run in the shooting phase?

Can the same lord deepstrike within 2" of a friendly CSM unit and count as joining, and then run with them into thier transport?

(Note deepstriking you lord with lesser damons is one of the few ways to have an undivided lord in a unit that wont run from shooting or ig jedi mind tricks)

Lords with oblits add lots of anti assault, extra melta and wounds, and can assault what comes out of any popped transports)

And whilst you're pointing and shouting at the boogeyman in the corner, you're missing the burglar coming in through the window.

Well, Duh! Because they had a giant Mining ship. If you had a giant mining ship you would drill holes in everything too, before you'd destory it with a black hole

There is not a restriction on types of deepstrike, so long as the IC and the unit both can do so, they can do so together. iirc

Note if he is attached to lesser daemons (assuming CSM) then they'll be stuck with the normal deep strike rules.

I am pretty sure that if you put a lord with daemons you are stuck deepstriking by an Icon or not at all...

You can't "run" into a transport (only move during movement phase) nor can you join an IC to a unit after the movement phase has passed. If the lord has "moved" that turn (which DS counts as) and he ends the movement phase w/in 2" of a unit, he auto-joins them. Just don't scatter terribly far

So if I run my chaos lord into a huge unit he doesn't join them? Well atleast they give hom a cover save....

? Cannerus_The_Unbearable are you implying that he DS on his own? Yes you can do that but when you are preparing the reserves you can attach him to another unit, at which point they are rolled for and arrive together

I was answering his original post where he asked if a lord could run to join a unit.
