Hey guys. Im fairly new at trying to model with gstuff and im not quite sure if this is the
appropriate forum
I believe this But ive started a project which could require a
fairly large amount of greenstuff work. that being said the biggest
amount of greenstuff work ive done is a Mustache and eye-brows.
What im looking to make are
-Cigars
-Bats(not the animal) with nails
-boards with nails through them

if could get some insight into how i might go about doing this that would be appreciated

Cigars are fairly easy: roll yourself a thin sausage of greenstuff, cut it to length, and the rough up the end with the tip of a hobby knife.

If you're putting it into a model's mouth, it can be a good idea to add a pin to hold it in place... Drill a small hole in the model's mouth where you want the cigar to go, glue a short piece of plastic rod or wire into the hole, sticking out a couple of mm, and then push the sausage of greenstuff over the pin, to sit flush against the model's mouth. You may need to resculpt the lips slightly to go around the cigar.

For your bats and boards, you would be better off picking up some balsa wood than trying to greenstuff them. You can buy balsa wood in assorted sizes or mixed packs from most hobby stores, and some department or hardware stores.

Nails or spikes can be added using cut up pieces of plastic rod or wire, or tiny nails or tacks (also found at your local hardware store).

Probably work

I now have this awesome mental image of bats (the animal) covered in spikes, flying around.

I would try plasticard for bats with dress-making pins or panel pins for nails. Use another pin to scratch on the surface after shaping with 1st a flie and 2nd a emery board (nial board that them those girly things use)

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!
