Is it just me or does Arnie bring an European twist to his Republican beliefs? I've always felt that although Europeans are drawn to the American dream, we temper this with bringing along some social conscience as well. Please, no choking at the following Arnie to me kinda represents a version of what New Labour or a modern Tory party should be. You encourage business, but remember that people also matter, which I think is a very European way of thinking.
Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. I think it was Frazz (apols if not) who said in another OT thread that while Arnie is a Republican he is a much more left-wing Republican than we Europeans might think.
BTW, the Japanese have a nickname for Arnie, they call him "Schuwa-chan". (From Schuwarzenegger.)
