What do people think: what role, if any, do/should Bloodclaws play in a drop pod army?
(Take a break from worrying over powerfists for your GH. Just for a minute.)

Blood Claws sadly play no real part in a Space Wolf Army any more. They were poor in Drop Pods in the old Codex, even when they were cheaper, had 3 Power Fists, 12 Men and +2 Counter Attack.
Now they are just Terrible. The only use for Blood Claws any more is to stick in a Land Raider Crusader, Pop Smoke Turn 1 and pray to the Dice Gods.

Meh, they still have a use. Generally with a wolf sergeant (elite dude, forget name) in a crusader. That's pretty much the only thing they do better than grey hunters.

The only use I can see is as has been stated
13 to 14 with a Wolfguard and Wolf Priest in a and Raider
|

He is.
He also costs more than a whole Blood Claw Squad.

I think Blood Claws can also be useful in a Rhino, just like Beserkers are useful in a Rhino.
The codex did get it right towards encouraging Grey Hunters over Blood Claws, I just don't think people should dismiss them as often as they are right now.
Drop Pods are for Dreadnoughts and Wolf Guard. Nothing more.

Grey Hunters are the best Price/Performance Drop Podders in the Game. 2.5 Point Meltaguns, 3 attacks each, 1 model with up to 7 Rending Attacks for a Bargin Price!

I do find it hard to put them into a Drop pod when Grey Wolves can do the same thing better.

Anyways, even in a non-Drop Pod based army, Grey Hunters with 2x Special weapons are generally better in a drop pod.

only use 15 strong with x2 flamers, Lukas and a Wolf Priest. Throw all them into a crusader and Charge as much as you can.
