I recently bought the SW battleforce, and much to my dismay, found that there were no meltaguns on the frame. Now I can understand why there aren't any on the current SM tac sprue, as that was made before the changes were made to the codex, but why aren't they on the one for the SW? GW must have known that they were going to give them meltaguns as an option.

It's a way for GW to sell the old sprue!

Plastic was a way for them to give you a lot of options now that they stopped selling bits, but it is odd how many common options they leave out. For example: in 4th edition the Terminators box with only one assault cannon.

The current SM Tac sprue does have a melta gun. I'm not sure where you got that information from.

Thanks people for your input. Does anyone have any ideas as to where I can get some meltaguns without shelling out for the SM tac box?

Well GW do a meltagun bitz pack that has 5 of the old metal ones in it. Think its about a fiver.

You could also try bitzbox.co.uk their stock levels are a bit random but you might get lucky.

I actually have a similar problem, but fortuently I bought so many of the old accessory frame over the years I have a stack of meltaguns.

Well, you can still buy the SM Tactical and converting them into either as Grey Hunter, Bloodfang or Wolf Guard with leftover parts from the SW Battleforce.

I have used leftover parts from SW Pack box to convert my SM Devastator into 5 Long Fangs.
