ok I downloaded the vassal client and have been testing out a new army there so I can surprise the local group at the next event.

basicly I have found that people don't know how to play.

things people have thought

i get a FNP roll on plague marines after being hit with breath of chaos.

you can hang the rear of your skimmer off the table just because the base fits on the table.

if you charge into an ongoing combat. the enemy cannot attack the chargers.


those are the few I can think of off the top of my head.

it's annoying to keep having to tell them to read the book.

This isn't an uncommon practice. There are a lot of gamers who assume that it's perfectly ok to have part of a vehicle hanging off the table. Rules discussions on this issue tend to be fairly divided.

Also a fairly common interpretation. You'll find multi-page threads in YMDC about multiple assaults, due to a poor choice of wording in the assault rules on who units can assault.

My group was joking about the "dumbed down rules" 40k is going with. And we think that since people STILL seem to mess up even the most basic of rules, that EVERYTHING will be decided on a 4+ roll on a d6 in the future. Trust me lol
