'lo all.

I used to play Daemonhunters and Tyranids, but only really got to play about once a month, and ended up dropping it, selling my armies. Recently I discovered a hobby shop not too far from where I live, and after a break of what must be going on two years, I've decided to start playing again, since it's in easy reach - while my new Space Marine army is as small as it is at least - I have an Army case and a motorbike, haven't figured out how to carry it on my back while riding yet.

I have a friend who collects Orks just for the painting and modeling side, so he and I went halves on the Assault on Black Reach set, which I constantly call Dark Reach, him taking the Orks and the box, and me everything else, mainly the 5th edition rules, which I'm still getting to grips with - only played one game so far, which was a lot of fun despite how badly I got pasted. If anything I've learnt that power swords are my captains' friend. The game itself was a 3-way draw, I was the real winner, though my bank account will soon tell you otherwise, as I got back into the hobby!

Welcome to dakka! I too left the hobby for a while, but I kept my army in the loft. Most of it was in pieces, but ah well.

"And what are the achievements of your fragile Imperium? It is a corpse rotting slowly from within while maggots writhe in its belly. It was built with the toil of heroes and giants, and now it is inhabited by frightened weaklings to whom the glories of those times are half-forgotten legends."
