I just got back into 40k and was reviewing my Necron force.
Very small.
HQ Necron Lord
-Warscythe
-Phase Shifter
-Ressurection Orb
-Phylactery
Nightbringer
Troops Necron Warriors x13
Necron Warriors x12
Fast Attack Scarab Swarms x7
-Disruption Fileds
Destroyers x3
The Nightbringer really takes up a chunk of points, as any Necron player knows.
Anyone have any suggestions on what to get next?
I already have a Monolith in mind.
i agree, more warriors. The nightbringer is always nice, but i only see him being worth the points in larger games. More warriors with one or two monoliths works well.
I have seen a necron player make some amazing portal moves using two monoliths and 3 squads of warriors.
Im not a persona fan of destroyers, but used properly can work well.
Destroyer spam works well too ... and depending on point limit, more monoliths. The more points in monoliths though, the better you'll need to port them to reroll WBB instead of Particle Whipping fools
