I don't know if there are any options to do this but currently anything that is newly stickied, or a sticky that has been updated, is very easily missed, is there a possibility of using a bright non-scheme colour or a large icon or something.

Someone stickied that 'irregulars magazine' thread and I was staring at the screen wondering if it had been deleted.

There is not much that can be done as it comes down to people mentally blocking anything above the start of the standard forums. Thought has and is being given to this issue though.

I think it's going to boil down to utility.

Reference posts should be good for sticky.

News posts should float and get re-bumped.

Simply changing the color of the stickies subject can make a huge difference.

Instead of the standard color as all the other posts.

Something like... This is a stickied post.
