Here's the first part of the listing for the auction happening on Sunday, November 22. This is a live auction, minimum bid of one dollar. Everything sells. The auction will be held at Showcase Comics in the Granite Run Mall, in Media, PA. (Philadelphia suburbs.)
It's a live auction. Lots of bargains to be had, and demand for an item sets the price. Everything goes, no matter how cheap. Items vary quite a bit: painted, unpainted, unassembled in the box, pro-painted, and some in dire need of stripping and a repaint. It's a great way to pick up cheap models.

You can preview the items from 11am until noon. Auction starts at noon, and runs about 4 hours. We will have 350 lots for this auction. Things are filling up fast, so if you want to enter anything, call and talk to Mike Clark at the Granite Run Mall store. Once things are filled, we will take items for the next auction in Jan/Feb.

No trades, but I can take silent bids on items, and if the silent bid is greater than the live auction, then a person on dakka could send a payment by paypal for the cost plus shipping. We have a few people on dakka do that most auctions, along with some of the regulars at the shop that can't make the auction due to work/kids/etc. Easiest way is to send me an Email or PM, prior to the day of the auction, with what you would like to pay for a lot. In some cases I can give a better description of the item, in some cases I can't. Depends on how easy it is to find in the stacks of boxes building up in the back room.

The lots don't belong to the store. Gamers put them up for the auction, and recieve store credit that they can use for new items. A three way deal between buyer, seller, and store. We hold them about once every 3-6 months.

Gots some more LR tanks in, a valkry, totally painted and based 1750 German army for Fow, and a half dozen lots of tau. A bunch more stuff coming in this afternoon, plus a box I need to drag over to the computer and sort through.)

This one is going well, with folks getting stuff in early. Used to be the bulk of it came in two days before and I didn't sleep for the whole weekend. I expect I'll see all the stragglers dumping stuff off until we hit the 350 limit. I've determined that 350 lots is the point my voice breaks and goes all froggy/squeaky, so we hold it down to that.

All for like $160. My roommate picked up about 2000 points of Chaos, including 20 Terminators, 2 Defilers, and like four Characters for about $200.

So far in the Bitz boxes I've found entire Ork Models, what must be an entire Eldar Army, at least a full squad of Space Marines, most of a Dreadnought, a TON of Dreadnought/Tank weaponry, and a lot of special weapons, Multi-Meltas, Heavy Flamers, etc.

On top of that, everybody was really nice and they really gave us the star treatment. They sent somebody to pick us up from the train station, talked to us, were really helpful, and we had a great time. They're planning another auction in a few months, and we're already excited about going back.

You guys were great fun. That was crazy as hell taking that trainride all the way down. An inspiration to bitzhunters everywhere. Least we could do is give you a lift the last couple of miles.)

Glad you had a lot of fun. Those auctions are some of my most memorable days at the shop. We already have people starting to ask about bringing in stuff for the next one, so the cycle continues.)

I'm glad we sort of worked out our niche in the auction too. Any time you said "Chaos" the room turned towards my roommate, and any time you said "Ork" all eyes were on me. It was amusing.

I never got to thank you for everything, including talking that one tank down for me. "This thing is missing a lot of weaponry, it looks like it would work well as terrain or something..." It's going to be one of my three looted wagons (of the five tanks I bought, one is going to a friend, the other is slowly becoming a Nurgle Rhino via http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/266833.page ).

Anyway, I've sorted the bits a bit, and once I really sort through them, build the non-Ork models I can (there's a LOT of good stuff), anything I can't use for Orks (like a lot of the Space Marine and IG stuff) is going back into sorted bags and probably going back to you guys, continuing the circle of bits. But what's really cool is there's been a lot of Bits I've seen in there that I've found like one single bit, like a gun, or a head, or a vehicle piece and said "I have an idea for an entire model based off of THIS piece." After deciding to do a Nurgle Wagon with the Tyranid bits, I decided to take all the Marines in the bits and turn them into a nice Nurgle Marine squad for the Rhino. I think it'll come out really nice.

There's some tank chassis and stuff that are just dying to become Killa Kanz... I mean, the list goes on.

Awesome I'll definitely be tempted to come up for the next one (I'm near Baltimore). Looks like it was a lot of fun... and a good deal, to boot!
