Cheers.

Thunderbolt and their rules should be explained in IA 1
They would be only useable in Apoc games .

Macharius Vanquisher.

Also Apocalypse, as it is a superheavy.

Also available in Vulcan megabolter version.

Rules for it are in one of the Imperial Armour vol x books (AFAIK). I only have the "experimental" download rules for it.

Thuderbolts and Lightnings! Very very frightning are in the Imperial Armour vol 1 update available for free off the Forge World website under downloads/40k

A Vulture Gunship can be used with opponents consent due to it following the same rules as a Valk.

I doubt it would be tourney legal though.

The vulture is no longer a flyer - it's a skimmer just like the valk.

The flyer rules are a big hassle. While flyers are not Apoc only they do create a big problem if your opponent doesn't have decent AA assets.

Flyers are only a big problem if they're using ones such as Marauders and Vampires. And as far as I know, Vultures don't use the rules for skimmers, they are flyers that can choose to move as a skimmer for one turn.

Sorry to contradict you Valkyrie, but it was updated recently by FW. It now counts as a Fast Skimmer, that can be used as a Flyer in Apocalypse:

VULTURE GUNSHIP . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .105 PTS

Armour Value:
BS 3
Front 12
Side 12
Rear 10

Unit Type:
• Vehicle (fast, skimmer)
• Flyer (in Apocalypse)

Special Rules:
• Deep Strike

Weapons and equipment:
• Heavy Bolter
• Twin-linked multi-laser
• Two Hellstrike missiles
• Searchlight
• Extra Armour

Options:
• A Vulture may replace its multi-lasers with:
- Twin-linked autocannons . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .free
- Twin-linked missile launchers . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+10 pts
- Twin-linked lascannons . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+15 pts
- Two multiple rocket pods . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+20 pts

• A Vulture may replace its 2 Hellstrike missiles with:
- 6 Bombs . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+40 pts
- 6 Hunter-killer missiles . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+40 pts
- Two multiple rocket pods . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+30 pts

• A Vulture may replace both its multi-lasers and Hellstrike
missiles with:
- One Twin-linked Punisher Gatling cannon . . . . . . .+50 pts

• The Vulture may take any of the following:
- Flare/chaff launcher . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+10 pts
- Armoured cockpit . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+20 pts
- Infra-red targeting . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+5 pts
- Illum flares . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+5 pts
- Distinctive paint scheme/decals . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .+10 pts

Again, sorry to contradict you- its just with an AirCav army, I keep a close eye on things like this!

When was this update released? I have a Vulture and I have always thought it was a flyer with Hover Mode

Btw, my rules for the Vulture were from IA: Apocalypse if it matters.

Edit: After a quick search I've found the rules change.

Update came out about a month after the IG codex came out. Vulture still has Hover in Apocalypse- forget to put it in.
