Hey all
Started working on a new custom chapter of the emperor's finest
ALL of the units will be TrueScaled so I'm aiming for a small-ish army. Going with a desert world theme for my chapter.
Putting some early Wip shots of some Command Squad guys up for C&C, one guy I've just started painting, the other I'm still working on, with a guardsman for scale reference.
At the moment I have enough bits for a Command Squad, Captain and a Librarian.
So let me know what you think

Sorry, doublepost

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Ok so the wrong doublepost got vanished...
Im on the southside, Tuggeranong area for any ACT locals out there.

Ok onto the first problem of this project....how to base?
25mm bases make them game legal, but 40mm give me more room to really add character to each mini
Suggestions?

Go 40mm and use a Logan Grimnar counts as list in my opinion. I hope you get some better pics up soon, as these are looking good so far

You can't ask for specific rules, I'm afraid, as that violates GW's IP. He's in the Space Wolves codex though, and he lets you take Wolf Guard as troops.

Yeah figured on an example, for now I'll pass as it doesnt fit with the flavour im thinking of for my force.
The tactical argument has won out for me for the moment, smaller bases it is. Can always do cool display stands later
Thinking a desert world chapter, think historical knights templar....relatively new chapter, recently taken world, mostly to escort imperial navy and civian craft through neighbouring systems. Local aliens be eldar, tau, orcs and just facing a hive fleet splinter.

Ok had the time today to take some better shots of the two still WiP Astartes, and last night had a bit of a fiddle with some spare bits resulting in the beginings of a jump pack for my planned Librarian (who said only Chaplains and Vanguard get all the cool jump packs?)
Sorry didnt think to bring a guardsman out for scale but you get the idea of 'em

Ok so no updates in a few days - been kept busy with a new course I've taken up.
No new piccies at the moment but the plasma gunners had all the model work done and is just now waiting for his armour undercoat to dry, and the legs of the rest are begining to be filled in.
Pics maybe later tonight.
