Nurgle Veteran Marine with the Flu

The Blood Sons are a chapter I made, they are a Blood Angel successor chapter.
The Blood Sons were founded in M37, part of the 22nd founding, when a large portion of space near the Gildar Rift was found almost destroyed by an awoken Tomb World. Immediately Melanus Arcite, captain of the eighth company, a Blood Angels company completely made of Assault marines, orderd the fleet to track the invading Necrons. After a long and arduous campaign, the Space marines drove back the Necons. To secure the sector from further invasions, a new chapter was formed. This chapter was named the Blood Sons, as their creation was bought at the price of their enemie's blood.
The world of Shrine is a Temperate place, with many rolling hills and high mountinous regions dotting the landscape. There is only one moon and one ocean on all of Shrine, and that is where the Marines and Scouts learn different sciences, which is what their chapter is famous for.
Only one millenia after their founding, the Blood Sons found themselves fighting for their lives. In M38, a splinter of Hive Fleet Ourboris came crashing through a warp rift at the edge of the system where Shrine, the Blood sons homeworld, resided. Out of the Ten Companies that are apart of the Chapter, only three were in the Shrine system. Only one was the sixth Battle Company. The other two were the ninth, a Reserve that kept the Chapters Dreadnoughts and Death company, while the other was the Tenth company, which only held Scouts and their compliment of Bikes with them. All were in their Ships, the Devotion, Emperor's Reprisal, and the Eternal light.
Arbalan, the Chapter master of the Blood Sons, ordered every vessel to deploy their Marines at the vital strongpoints that covered the planet. Fortresses that were once used to train Scouts in the art of seige were now prepared for invasion. All the marines soon were at work on the planet, save the Seventh company's Death Company, which remained behind the system's sun, ready to deploy when needed.
When the Invasion hit home, the first installation to go was the Biogenetics lab near the Black ocean, which housed the Chapter's research on improving the minds and bodies of the chapter, as well as their research on curing the Black Rage and Red thirst. Though they had made little headway in both topics, the blow was disastrous. The Invading Tyranids gained new powers, both phsychic and kinetic. Regular units grew bigger, and stronger. Soon, almost nothing could stop them.
In the heavens, it was much worse, as the Tyranids had dominion over the planet below. In one of the most daring manouvers recorded, the Emperor's Reprisal struck out. As one of the Chapters few Battle Barges, the Emperor's Reprisal boasted the most firepower that any agent of the Imperium could bring to bear. And so they did. The battlebarge hid out in the closest of the three Asteroid belts that were in the Shrine sector, and launched devestating hit-and-run attacks on the Hive Fleet.
On the planet, fortress after fortress fell, the marines falling back into their last defence, their Citadel, Hades, which resided in the largest mountain range on the planet, watching over the biggest volcano on the planet. As the Marines readied for a last stand, the Tyranids started to mutate the planet, growing out the grassland into a harsh environ, where there were once beautiful gardens, there were now swamps, where forests contained some of the most exotic animals, they were now deathtraps. Soon even the Temple was at stake, the surrounding vegetation busting apart walls and clogging intakes. This was when the Tyranids struck.
Marine and Tyranid met on those walls, and one of the chapters most savage battles was fought. Though the Tyranids died in their millions, the Space marines were losing. And as the battle climaxed, with the Tyranids breaking through the walls and swarming into the Parade Ground, all was thought lost.
That was when Dominus, the chapters oldest Ancient (Dreadnought) appeared, bowling back the first wave, behind him, the rest of the Ancients, which were the Chapter's heros of old, come to fight in their chapter's name. Shortly after, the chitinous horrors were thrown off the walls, scattered into the surrounding mountains.
In space, the Tyranid vessels had retreated from low orbit to chase the Emperor's Reprisal. This left the planet open to the strike cruiser, which surveyed the planet, only to find a Biotitan stalking towards the mountains, the rest of the brood close at its heels. Immediately the Eternal light stepped in, unleashing a co-ordinated barrage and unleashing all one hundred Death Company marines at the Biotitan.
Upon the landing of the Death company, all hell broke loose. Tyranids that were in disarray were now assailed by berzerkers that turned the tide, throwing the Xenos back. Though their victory did not last long, as the Biotitan turned, bringing its fury to bear. After two days of fighting, the Death company was destroyed, and the Biotitan wounded.
In space, the Battlebarge Emperor's Reprisal had met it's fate, succoming to the endless horde. Word did not reach the other cruisers until the Tyranid fleet came back. It was then that the Chapter fleet fought back. Between the two cruisers, the Tyranids lost over three hundred ships. As the Tyranids closed in their full might, the Cruisers began he push towards the Hive ship.
On the ground, the Marines had decided to strike out, all of the Tenth company were mounted on bikes. With a thunderous roar, the Bikes swept out to meet the invaders. At first all was well, and the Tenth met great success. But on the second day, they met problems. The Super-charged growth of the plants made it impossible to see the ground through the tall grass. As they went into the fields, lictors started to cleave through the Scouts, biting through their thin armour and swallowing the Scouts inside. Soon, only a few marines were left to limp back to the Citadel.
In space the Strike vessels had started their final attack on the Hive ship. After several strikes they were victorious, destroying the Hive Ship. With their captains free to support the Marines below, the back of the tyranid advance was broken, and the next two months were spent on Mop-up. Though the Tyranids were destroyed, the planet is now covered in unnatural growth.
C&C is, as always, welcome
