Hey kids

So, I got out of hordes and I'm getting into Warmachine. Picked up a Khador starter pack cuz I like the bulky look of their jacks the best. I want these to look like they've been in service for a long time and are all muddy and rusty and dirty. SInce it seems like light base colors work best for extreme weathering I decided on space wolf gray as my base color instead of the usual red. There will be red parts though, mostly trim and stuff like that. I'll also do numbers & squadron markings too like tank comapnies might have. I was going to go for a desert yellow kind of scheme like they're doing some kind of desert campaign, but I figured the light gray blend-in-with-the-snow kind of thing would be better.

Anyhoo... anyone have any good examples of really extreme weathering on warjacks? I'd like to get some good inspiration but my googling hasn't turned up anything really worthwhile.

i did this with my khador. i didnt use the classic red scheme though i went with a white scheme with red/blue accents.

i used alot of chipping with bolt metal and chainmail. loads of sea green layering for oxidization on the brass and dark elf flesh for a rust base on the steel.

ill get some pics up this weekend if ya want.

There ain't nearly enough Salvage in this thread!
