New to Dakka Dakka forums, tried RPG.net but didn't get much help in the matter, I have a very large collection of eldar and usually play friendly games, however there is a string of 2,500 point tournaments coming up and I would like some help. I only had the first list in mind until earlier today, the main two issues are Jetbike Council, or Serpent Council and DAVU, or Serpents (of fury?). Obviously, some tweaking may be required to either list, once again don't play competitively. The lists are as follow:

I say the second list - I've not had any real success with my vypers, and fire dragons are pure excellence.
BUT you might want to strip 2 of the avenger units (the ones in BL serpents) down to 5 man naked units - that saves 214 points, use those to get a third 5 man unit in a BL serpent. I think more than 2 full bladestorm units is unnecessary since they're not all that against marines/armies with monstrous creatures or vehicles everywhere.

I actually like that idea alot, not once did I ever think to mix DAVU and the normal dire avengers, I will have 3 5 man in BL Serpents, 2 bladestorming, and use the left over for 3 more spears, and more ideas? I also like your sig

At 2.5k points I would start a list with Eldrad-210. For starters he could Guide and possibly Fortune your Falcon every turn. At least use a 2nd HQ slot? With all those Dire Avengers Doom is a powerful tool.
A Jetbike council is a lot tougher than a foot council, but your's could use an extra Embolden for safety?
5 units of 5 Dire Avengers, I would not take it that far. That's a lot of points tied up inside Serpents without actually participating in the game? Why not go for less, but stronger units?

The second list is definetly the best, in the first your using your WS for units of 5. I would scrap the second unit of fire drags and other things and perhaps include a 10-strong howling banshhe squad or two, mounted in a WS of course. Perhaps even get a unit of infiltrating stricking scorpions??
Also nivoglibina's idea of including Eldrad is good, you are at 2.5k after all, also consider other big HQs, an avatar or yriel would add some much needed CC ooomph (but i would take yriel because avatars cant go in transport, but its up to you).

However, i dont like mech eldar (its just my oppinion) and im sure there are other eldar players on this fornum who could give you more/better advice.

									Drop 7 warlocks and then:

  1) combine the DA squads where possible, giving you two 10 man, dropping the 5 man.

  2) Give one DA's WS to the other fire drags.

3)Include some CC troops, banshhes or scorpions.

4)Fill in the remaining points with warlocks (which you droped before hand), expanding on the fire drags and howling banshhes/scorpions.

Should of specified, the dragons w/o the transport are going in the falcon

The seer council was my CC squad but oh well, I could drop one of the serpents, merge 2 squads of DA and give there serpent to a squad of Striking Scorpions I have laying around somewhere around here, I would just have to drop 5 warlocks... so 5 warlocks or 6 Striking Scorpions!?!?!?!?

The Seer Council was my cc support so dropping it to get some SS/HB would be kind of useless, and if I got rid of one of the DA transports to give to the fire dragons, there would be an empty falcon and some footslogging DA in a mech list.
