Ok, so this has confused the feth out of me since 4th ed SM (when I joined {yes i am that noob}) when you buy the master crafted upgrade for a weapon (only in WH/DH now i think)
Now seeing as I can't post points values on specific items assume that A=B for the purposes of this post .

Now the example used is a power weapon which is A points and it costs B points to master craft it. Then it says that only X (either A or B AFAIK) is taken against my 100pt limit on my HQ choice.
The issue Ive had is that the example uses an item that cost the same as the FREAKING MASTER CRAFTED UPGRADE!!!!!!
Now this is important because if I master craft a Force weapon then I am getting a weapon that cost G (G>B) but is only taking up B points towards my 100pt limit.

So which points do I count towards my 100pt limit the weapon or the mastercrafted upgrade? (wow....I could have just said this and saved you all from algebra hell....)

Just the Upgrade.

Weapons do not count towards the limit of 100 points of Wargear.
