Been workin on a really big terraih piece for the last month and a bit. It's still only about half painted, should be done for the next apoc game. I've also been slowly getting into tau, I plan on making a 1500-2000 pt force. I want them to match up with my ig so nothing terribly creative with the color scheme. I envision them as farsight enclave deserters who now operate as mercs.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did. |

That's a grand looking piece of scenery you have on the go there! Any chance of a picture from further out?
The painting on the T'au is great but i'm not sure about the colour scheme; just a bit too murky for my tastes. It works well on the kroot though.

Your painting looks great, and the building is wonderful.
But Yellow is not the right highlight color for that green. It seriously clashes with the rest of the motif.

Nice work on that terrain piece! You've made styro look good, which isn't always easy.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

That's a great piece of terrain, especially the Marine statues. Well done on the Tau too.

Looking good so far, although some texturing on the styrofoam to disguise it a little would have been a big improvement.
Good use of bits and bobs to dress it up. The Chimera gunports are an excellent idea...

Insaniak's spot on there ! You'd be surprised how much better it would look with a coating of fine sand on the styrofoam before painting and drybrushing. Oh, and the "seams" created between the styro pieces can be covered with a strip of thin card before putting the sand on, it helps hide them and looks like a semi-recessed pillar when finished (try it on scrap, you'll see what I mean)
That said, it is a good looking peice.
