Can you run 3 Space wolve HQs and 1 DH ally?

Assuming that you are using a space wolves as a parent list. AB doesn't let you but from what I can see its perfectly legal.

According to codex Daemonhunters, a GK Hero or an Inq Lord takes up a single HQ slot. IIRC the SW codex doesn't state that those choices don't.

The general consensus was "No, you cannot" but you can take 2 SW HQ's and 1 DH/WH HQ.

I'll go get my popcorn and watch the show again, it was a good one last time.

Zatchmo has the right of it.

You can have 2 Space Wolf HQs per HQ slot. Every other HQ unit in the game so far as I've seen take up 1 HQ slot. The maximum of HQ allowed in mixed armies, 2 Space Wolf and 1 other in regular games of 40K.

Nitpick: very close to correct. Daemon Heralds also can be used in the "2 per slot" mode.

You cannot, nor would you really want to for all the combinations I have seen thus far. Three SW HQs cost a phenomenal amount of points.

add one more to the no 3 SW and 1 DH tally. you can take SW Hq's on the two for one slot special but that doesn't apply to any others you add from allied lists. of course, you could do what you're proposing in apoc games but that a whole different ballgame.

...but it doesn't need to, because the DH/WH codex allows for special chapters of the SM to take the DH/WH as allies. Now, I don't have my codex handy, but I don't think it specifically (there's that word again) says that SW can be taken as allies, but it does list other special chapters and I believe it uses language to say that it extends to all special chapters of the SM.

SW can never be taken as Allies.

What you can do is take DH/WH allies in a SW army.
