As i was waiting for my models to dry i went on the internet and looked at the ecclesiarchy. I got the idea of converting a rabble of fanatics with makeshift weapons like chains, axes, kitchen knifes and anything else they could get of coarse mixed in with any real weapons ie:auto pistols and auto guns and maybe even a few auto cannons. I was thinking about what to use and got the idea of using warhammer models.
Any ideas on what models to use and any conversion ideas would be great
Peace
Whitescar

I am not too familiar with the Warhammer range but consider mixing some Cadian bits in - representing perhaps some unsavory characters or deserters wishing to repent (but not a "Commissar Repent") and suchlike. Perhaps include some servitors with heavier weapons?

Just some random thoughts.

IG bitz will mix in fine with them.

Check www.thewarstore.com, their bitz service can get you lasguns and other fun stuff if you don't have those already.

Mordheim has a frenzied mob; a bunch of those would serve well as rabble.

Way above you guys

Using WHFB models in WH40K and throwing in some lasguns and autocannons? That is SO not original.
Maybe you could add cyborg parts to flagellants and have them go as repenting cannon fodder. Never been too happy with this faith in the EMPEROR OF *cough* MANKIND *cough cough* and twisted demons from the warp hell thing. Sounds too much like an ecclesiarch's nightmare in the 15th century. Back then you just got up and counted the coins you reaped from fanatacized pilgrims, in 40k you get to unload a boltgun at real daemons !

I have sixty zealots converted up for use with my SOB. I have used Necromunda Cawdor and redemptionist figs and also converted off off of the plastic flagellants and the various 40K priest models. I'll try to dig up some pics...
Here is a linky to a thread showing a few pics for now:
