Question; How should I arm the russes *sponson wise* and what squads would it be necessary to put in power weps or fists?

D'you mind actually organising your list? HQ, Elites, Troops, etc. Pretty bloody difficult to tell what's what when it's just a jumbled bunch of units.

Vets with 3 melta, demolition, Pfist only cost 200 points - I'd drop the powerfist, it isn't much difference against enemy troops, against vehicles the sarge has meltabombs.

Punisher and LRBT with MM sponsons!? Neither of these tanks are for killing vehicles, why do you put the sponsons on them?

SWS with snipers is pretty useless, 3 sniper rifles is unlikely to kill anything at all in a turn's shooting.

I can't really comment on the list as a whole, because it isn't a list. You don't appear to even have an HQ, unless that's the command squad listed, in which case you don't have a valid infantry platoon. Sorry to be harsh, but how can you have two 40k armies and think this is an army list?

LRBT sponsons should probably be plasma, or no sponsons at all. Punisher sponsons should obviously be heavy bolters. Are you actually deploying those tanks in a squadron? I would advise against it. Squadron rules really limit how useful tanks are.

Stormtroopers and marbo both add very useful deep strike capability, they should work well. Why the 3 footslogging ogryns? They're too slow to make a very tactically flexible counter-assault unit, and the squad is pretty small. I would cut those altogether.

Likewise cut the sentinel IMO. They're overpriced to be be gunline vehicles. Sentinels are better used as outflankers, armed with autocannons, lascannons, hunter-killer missiles, etc.

You do not have a valid infantry platoon. You need a platoon command squad. Cut the SWS with sniper rifles, form a platoon command squad. I would arm them with GLs or flamers, which are both more useful than snipers IMO. As for the rest of the platoon, I think conscripts are overpriced - you pay nearly as much as for a regular guardsman, and get a much worse model. How about making all the conscripts regular guardsmen, and putting the lascannons from the HWS in amongst them - lascannons on their own tend to form a high-priority, very fragile target.

Finally your CCS looks a bit unfocussed, why not give them 4 special weapons, or just the standard bearer, medic and maybe a HWT (basically, either kit them to go forward and shoot things, or to stay back in cover and provide a morale boost to the platoon)

Drop the 6 guardsmen with 3 snipers, and pick up ratlings... look them up and you will see why. (points and stats wise)

I like the ratlings alot actually. But more often then not I will trade the snipers for 10 men guardsmen.
How is the list now though?

You got a whole bunch of unnecessary upgrades like the medic in the CCS. Anything S6+ will ignore that FNP, same goes for low AP and powerweapon attacks. Same for the standard. You'll need it if your men run. The comissar is there to prevent that. Otherwise you still can order them to regroup. Vox are a question of taste... The MoO is also not a great choice (search the Forum for Lt. Lathorp's thread on him for reasons)
10 guardsmen get one special and one heavy. use that. If you're not sure how to use them go AC/GL, it's cheap, quite effective and a little versatile. There are no regular guard squads wielding 2 Flamers...

I'm very used to chaos marines so this may be why my list seems odd.
I'm going to work on it and maybe write the list a little better. Though no one ever had a problem with grammar and typing when it was a chaos list. I thought that rather odd *shrug*

If you're going to give a russ sponsons, give them to the LRBT not the demolisher. The demolisher needs to stay mobile and cheap, as it's closest to your front line and first to die if the enemy breaks through. Drop the MM sponsons and pask (pask is not worth it in any russ besides the exterminator) and give plasma sponsons to your LRBT.

The gigantic minimum range of the basilisk makes it a horrible artillery choice. If you want an all purpose artillery choice, go with the manticore. D3 indirect blasts that are great against tanks and all non MEQ/TEQ infantry. If you really want an artillery choice that can deal with MEQ, go with the medusa, and make it closed top. Still good against tanks, and can mess up marines and terminators pretty well too.

Hmm I think I could make the basilisk into a Medusa fairly easy. *The guns hanging down* I really considered too. But I will make out what I prefer this next games day, Imo though the basilisk owned the Ultras I fought something rough last day.

I would cut medics on the command squads, they're overpriced and there are just too many S6+ weapons out there. Commissars are better used in the infantry squads than in the PCS (stubborn is only useful on large size units)

I would drop pask, he's not that great anyway, and his abilities don't synergise well with ordnance templates. Use the points for plasma sponsons on the LRBT.

Not a huge fan of the ogryns, they'd be better off turned into more guardsmen. As everyone has said, you need to put a heavy and a special weapon into every infantry squad (they're useless without) and kit the PCS out with weapons as well.
