Just about completed painting my Eldar. It's themed around Uthwe', but with a fire dragon edge. All my vehicles and bikes are painted to Uthwe' colors and with Eldrad as 1 of my HQ's. I'm a true believer in melta gun dominance. So as my second HQ I took Fuegan along with fire dragons. Here's my list and tactic for turns 1 & 2:
Eldrad
Fuegan
6 firedragons w/ exarch- tank hunters, crackshot, fire pike
8 firedragons w/exarch- crackshot, firepike (Fuegan's retinue), wave serpent w/ bright lance & shuriken cannon
10 dire avengers w/ exarch- bladestorm & dire sword, wave serpent w/ bright lance & shuriken cannon
9 dire avengers w/ exarch- bladestorm & diresword
3 jet bikes w/ shuriken cannon
3 jet bikes w/ shuriken cannon
viper w/ bright lance & shuriken cannon
viper w/ starcannon & shuriken cannon
viper w/ starcannon & shuriken cannon
Falcon w/ pulse laser, bright lance, shuriken cannon
total 1848 pts
Fuegan with his retinue in w serpent and Eldrad with Dires in wave serpent. Dires on foot hold closest objective. Other unit of Fire dragons in Falcon. Eldrad uses fortune on the 2 wave serpents to reroll cover saves after turbo boosting across the board along with everything else (turn 1). Turn 2 disembark everything. Eldrad uses guide on the 2 units of fire dragons to take out vehicles. Dires shoot with blade storm the occupants, if in the destoyed transport or closest infantry. Any surviving heavy weapons (vehicles) target other vehicles. Jet bikes, during assault phase, move to shield my fire dragons from following turn's shooting or assaults. Eldrad's 3rd psychic power is used to cast E's storm on hopefully another vehicle (everything is mech these days). From then on, let the game dictate my tactics. I planned my tactics around the fact that I either play I.G., SM or CSM for the most part. If another army such as bugs or orks comes along, I'll have to adjust. Thanks for the comments in advance.
