My grandfather bought me a Baal Predator a while back, and I do not play Blood Angels. As a normal space marine player, is there any way I could include the Baal in my army without just saying it counts as a normal Predator? If not, could I just paint it as a normal Predator?

Other than in Apocalypse games, no, there is no way to include a Baal in any other Marine army.

Then, of course, there's always the "ask your opponent if they are ok with you playing it" option.

You know they aren't that different from one tank that SM have


Its not too far off the old razorbacks, so as long as you don't take the sponsons you should be able to field it as one ... YMMV

you could use it as a normal pred IF you managed to get the turret right, and didn't add any of the cool blood angel paraphernalia...

By saying get the turret right i mean by changing the gun on it to a normal pred varient, and not adding the ammo stacks at the back(even though you could add them for added "Whooo" factor...)

Have you built it yet? As I recall the Baal Predator box includes all the regular bits for a normal predator so you shouldn't have a problem building one with the normal turret armament (autocannon or twin-linked lascannon).

Build it as a normal pred and then sell/trade the bits to someone else sounds like the ideal solution.

If you make it into a razorback i'll trade the sponson optics with you. Hint Hint

Yeah make it a razorback - same chassis and turret anyways. I use a TL AC razorback and found it to be a very strong light tank against many targets - especially squadrons of light vehicles.

I find my TL AC razorback is always high up on target priority, even in an all mech list with rhinos and speeders. Just be careful how you deploy this if you are not going first, and you'll have a lot of fun with it.

AV10,11,12 & 14 the Assault cannon works out better then a lasCannon (AV 13 is slighly in th LasCannons favour). Only thing you lack with it is range.

take it back to games workshop and get the money back! Then get exactly what you want.

Magnetise the weapon options and then you can fit the baal parts if your opponent's okay with it or swap them for normal predator parts.

only thing with taking it back is recept,

Have you opened the box yet? I thought the baal predator came with the bitz to make a normal dakka predator.

It does. There's no reason for him to take it back.

meh... £34.25 vs £24.45 .... unless you know some one that will give you £10 for the two H.flamers and assault cannon i think thats a big enough reason.

Yeah but the bitz alone are worth it. Since it comes with the twin assault cannons and h. flamers.
