So some of you may have seen my DH list floating around. To cut a rambling story short, getting back into 40k, but want to stay away from really competitive play (having played competitive Eldar before) for the while - instead undertaking a project combining playing and painting/modelling opportunities. I want to regain lost brush control - and establish some motivation for me to finish and fully paint (+ base) an army.

So - if I don't do GKs, here's my Blood Angels list (though will be painted with different colours).

All jump-packs - this and the whole army is chosen half and half for competitiveness, and aesthetic appeal (I want to just have fun and enjoy the hobby as a whole! ). I'd like to keep it all jump pack so try not to just suggest lists/changes that disregard the theme too much....

The list, at the moment, has a nice symetry, even numbered squads - which I think with the correct conversions and bases could make it look great on the table-top.

This list has floated around a few forums before and has been previously honed... So don't worry if you can only suggest small changes, or even modelling ideas/aesthetic suggestions etc.

NB: I've run with 2 Troop choices before and am happy to do so again - and with the 'luxury' of combat squads - besides the list is really one that works well with contesting/shock tactics - etc.
KPs shouldn't really be an issue .

HQ:

Lemartes (125)

Elites:

9x Death Company (5 Bought): w/ Jump packs (195)

8x Veteran Assault Squad: w/ Power Fist, TLCs, Power Weapon, 2x melta (315)

8x Veteran Assault Squad: w/ Power Fist, TLCs, Power Weapon, 2x melta (315)

Troops:

10x Regular Assault Squad: w/ Power Fist (275)

10x Regular Assault Squad: w/ Power Fist (275)

Force Summary:

46 Models, 6 KPs.

Only point tweaks I could see straight away is change the 30 points of TLCs (downgrade to power swords) to something else, plasma pistols in the RAS, storm shields etc. TLCs to do look pretty good aesthetically though...

Thank you for any replies.

Fighting Eldar is like trying to hold onto a fish... Except the fish is holding a brick... And every time you're not expecting it, it beats you with the brick. Enter the Eldar.

Any more, more constructive posts? What to do with 30 points/other suggestions?

Don't expect to win many games with the list. Any army that can lay down a lot of firepower will mow you down. I shot up one these type armies with two Soul Grinders. If you were to add two to three rhino to your army it would be a lot more effective and not completely over the top.
