Very nice on the face & the adrenaline tubes. I likes! I would've gone with less green in the armor though. Needs more blood... Okay, just noticed the blood on the hands, nice! Still though, if his armor were to be anything besides red & gold I would think it would be white & blue or something.

"Within microseconds, the post-hypnotic implants in the subconscious portions of his brain were already running the pre-deployment checks, and the insides of his eyeballs lit up with telemetry data, weapon readiness status, fuel levels and a million other nuggets of information that would allow him to command this beautiful, wonderful Titan. 'How do you feel?' asked the the adept and Jonah laughed. 'It's good to be the king,' he said."

If I may elaborate, it is possible you do not know what the look I am trying to achieve is. Most pre-heresy photos of Angron (as well as descriptions) have him pictured, not in the color of his chapter, rather in a suit of solid gold/brass armor. Since Khorne's favored metal is brass, I decided to go with the latter. However, after 10,000 years of battle, your armor isn't going to stay all nice and shiny, it will start to weather and decay. When brass starts to weather, it begins to patina, and develop verdigriss. The green you are seeing is said patina/verdigriss.

Overall I give it a thumbs up. I like the head a lot and the armor flows together which looks pretty real. The colors and the model seem to flow smoothly. Great job

I don't know why you painted the armor in nurgle/rusty colors, but the models itself is impressive!!

Whoa.

Very cool but I'd agree with some of the comments about the oxidized armor. How about some moe blood effects (you know, either speckled from arterial spray or shiny, slick gore--as on hands/base/blade)?

Thank you, however I do not see how patina-covored brass is Nurglich...

Well it might just be the pictures but its does look pretty rotty and green like which it makes nurgle. IMO if you painted it all like the golden drape thinger (drawling a blank) it would look more khorne and less nurgle.

Cool work overall, im somewhat with everyone onthe armor. I think if you hadn't had done as much oxidation people would see it more, but cheers for the fluff side of it to you. My only thing is maybe the teeth a little less idk white, more of a dirtier look what have you. Also the undivided mark on the chest doesnt float as well with me personally. Either or great work hope to see a WE army around him now.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

He needs to be bigger, he looks too much like a normal Khorne DP.

I'd also like to mention that looking at the pictures and looking at the model in person, I have deduced that the green is FAR more accentuated in the pics. Where the pics show it more splotchy, in person it is more of an undertone type thing. Damn my $500 camera .

Tamiya (brand) Clear Red paint. The paint has a very thick texture not unlike that of actual blood, and like it begins to congeal allowing you to give it texture. By mixing a little bit of black ink (not paint, as it will dull the shine) you can make this convincing blood effect.

Lord-Loss wrote:He needs to be bigger, he looks too much like a normal Khorne DP.

Firstly, IIRC, the art for Angron's daemon form was actually based off of the Daemon Prince model, so it would make sense they would look similar. Second, I based to model off the Daemon Prince for several reasons:

- The similarities were striking.
- The model was cheap.
- This allows me to both use him as Angron in a big Apocolypse game, as well as a Daemon Prince w/ Wings & MoK in normal games.

A part of me does want to try my hand at converting the Forge World 'Thirster into Angron. However, there are two major issues. The first being that if I'm not careful, I could ruin a $230 dollar model, and the second being I don't even have the money to risk ruining it in the first place.

Oh well, I guess that's a project for a day when I turn rich .

If chaos forces didn't maintain their armor the logic would say they would all look corroded and nurglesque or have a thick brown layer of dried blood, which is not how most chaos marines are depicted, therefore I believe making him look like an oxidized statue is just not a good depiction of Angron.
Sorry but the color you use just doesn't fit for me.

I honestly don't know what you are talking about when you say it is nurglesque. What this armor is is weathered. Nurgle is pustule covered, rusty, corroded, moldy, covered in tentacles, flies, maggots, gross scabs, and open sores. Weathering is not solely for nurgle. His armor is old. Angron is old. He's bloody (no pun intended) 10,000 years old. Do you really think that Angron, a guy so angry and with such blind fury that it would make Chuck Norris cry, is going to take the time to make his armor all nice and shiny? Yeah, somehow I really doubt that. Second of all...logic? Really. You are going to bring up logic in the world of 40k. In a world of warmaking fungi, evil gods, terminators (as in the movies), gundams, and a space pope, you are going to bring up logic? . Lastly, I would appreciate it if you would refrain from bashing my miniature and flat out saying he's a bad depiction. I understand you have an opinion, and I respect your right to express it, however, I feel your comment was a bit harsh. While being critical (that's for sure), it did not provide a single thing that was constructive. You might as well have said: "I don't like it because of the color." Well gee, thanks that's alot to work off of.

/rant.

overall like I said I like it, but do remember fluff wise in the warp their is no such thing as time, but as stated before I see where you were heading and give you cheers for doing it as it takes actual thought and a little bit of research to stusy corrosion upon different metals.

Thats a good model. You should do a model of Brother Captain Aurelian, who banished Angron at the First Battle of Armageddon. That would be sweet.
