I picked up one of these because it was cheap. It's about 3-4 inches long and looks very Tau. There's even markings on it which look like Tau markings. Now I'm wondering what to do with it.
Initial ideas...
1. A rorty ride for an Ethereal. Downside, will take a lot of work to make a sitting Ethereal.
2. Replacement Piranha. Downside, I already have three Piranhas in box waiting to be built.
3. Replacement Crisis suit. Downside, I already have Crisis suits out my ears.
4. Some kind of vehicle for a Gue'vesa unit.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Looks more like a Kroot vehicle to me. Too brutish (pun painfully intended) for Tau.

I'd go with terrain or an objective.
I never liked how 40k cities are so bare of vehicles barring the occasional wrecked tank.

Jetbikes with a huge freaking blade for running stuff over never really seemed Tau-ish to me.
A Ghost or Spectre would work better for Tau, IMO.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

It doesn't have a huge blade for running over stuff.
I'm going to look at the Ghost too. These kind of models are good for SF games of all types.
