A while ago, I went to my towns only hobby shop in hopes of buying some W40k (IG) minis. All they had however was one box of Eldar Guardians and a jetbike. I bought the Guardians and put them on my shelf, ignored. Now I'm wondering, since they are clearly outdated Citadel model Guardians, how much could I sell them for. Or if they are even the right size for 40k. Box has four Guardians (all identical) and the stickers shown.

Ebay is your best bet to see what the going rate is on OOP stuff.

Does it only have 4, or the 6 shown on the box? OOP stuff can be valuable, but in general it has to be pretty rare.

I don't think these guardians would be worth much.

As Cane said: if you want to find out what something is worth, put it on e-bay (or just research it).

As I mentioned above the pictiure, I have 4 Guardians. Two were "lost" shortly after I first got them. The remaining 4 are still in the frames like in my example pic.

As for E-bay, going rate for OOP Guardians is $0.00, as all such products have no bids on them.

In both cases those models are painted, which seriously discourages any potential buyers, even if the product is sound.

You also have to remember that usually most of the bidding will happen in the final moments of the auction.

However, a comprehensive search of completed listings makes me think you should hold on to them for now. Unless you really need the space, I would definitely wait out this economy.

Often times a better way to research value on ebay is to look at completed auctions.

Not to mention that those Guardians are armed with what look to be Lasguns.. and the default for current Eldar is Guardians with Shuriken Catapults.. so, anyone wanting to use them with the current rulesets will need to convert.

You MIGHT get 1.50 each model, I think.. maybe.. and that is dependent on someone hoping to find those guys mint.

They'd be worth very little. The mono-pose plastics aren't sought after by many. I love my old n' uglies, and even I'm not a fan of those figures.

Well... went to a gaming store near where I'm going to get my wisdom teeth pulled, and they said they might buy them at $1.00 each to put in their bitz bin. If all their worth is bitz *grabs knife* then I gots me some 'eads for me pointy stik!!

They will remain intact until I can afford to buy Ork or Chaos minis. No point in having their helmets roll under the bed.
