Is it too small for an 1500 army? Or are Chaos warriors armies always small? It's been a while since i played WoC...

Is the whole list not showing up for anybody else? Here it is quoted again anyway ...

To start, yea the army is always going to be small, unless you take advantage of how many marauders you can get (though I'm no huge marauder fan, so meh). With your list I think you could trim a good amount of points so you have some more to work with. Let's get the chainsaw revved, eh?

H: Exalted - MoK, rending sword, shield, juggernaut = 210
H: Sorcerer - MoN, power familiar, dispel scroll, level 2, barded steed = 206
H: Exalted - MoK, BSB, shield = 155

C: 15 Warriors - banner of rage, full command, shields = 305
C: 5 Horsemen - musician, spears, shields = 81

S: 5 Knights - MoK, standard, musician, lances = 285

R: Warshrine - MoN = 160

TOTAL: 1402

This basically stripes some points you had in excessive command (horsemen and the knight champ), and sticks the banner of rage onto the unit that will be using it anyway, while cleaning up the marks of khorne that were kinda redundant with the rage banner in effect. A downside of this is that the nurgle dude, if he sits with the warrior block, will be baitable at 14" ... But I think you wanted him to run with the horsemen anyway? Horsemen are pretty vulnerable to magic and shooting, but babysitting a sorcerer isn't a terrible idea. I took off their mark of nurgle because it's way expensive for a unit basically there to bait and hunt war machines, but it could go back on I suppose. Here's a thought on where to spend your other points:

H: Exalted - MoK, rending sword, favor, shield, juggernaut = 215
H: Sorcerer - MoN, power familiar, dispel scroll, level 2, barded steed = 206
H: Exalted - MoK, BSB, collar of khorne, shield = 180

C: 15 Warriors - banner of rage, full command, shields = 305
C: 5 Horsemen - MoN, musician, spears, shields = 111
C: 5 Warhounds = 30
C: 5 Warhounds = 30

S: 5 Knights - MoK, standard, musician = 260

R: Warshrine - MoN = 160

TOTAL: 1497

GENERAL > shield for 0+, favor so the 'shrine can boost him and his knights through the roof

SORC > no change, though having an offensive magic phase is going to be tough with just him

BSB > collar to make him live, and give a little more magic defense for his boys

WARRIORS > rage banner swapped in as noted above

HORSEMEN > back to being nurgley, to help escort the sorcerer and stay alive, as well as helping get the drop on WS4 targets in combat if it comes to that (and modeling fun too)

WARHOUNDS > puppies! for war machine hunting, helping control your frenzy blocks, sitting on fanatics, etc

KNIGHTS > how much did you want lances on there? I think MoK knights are the only ones who could pull them off, but for +5 points it's not a great trade, and I wanted the points for something else

SHRINE > yep, nurgley

It still feels really tiny, with really just 2 kill units, 1 light / magic support unit, and 3 utility troops ('shrine is only so good at doing much beyond buffing) ... but that's chaos without marauders I guess. You might think about dropping the BSB for a second caster, or downshifting the level 2 to a level 1 caddy (on foot in the rage block means he gets 3 attaks and can be useful!), to find some more points that might be squandered otherwise.

*thinks a little more*

What about dropping all those expensive nurgle marks totally and going khorne / undivided? Here's what I was thinking:

H: Exalted - MoK, biting blade, bronze armor, favor, juggernaut = 200
H: Exalted - MoK, BSB, collar of khorne, shield = 180
H: Sorcerer - 2x dispel scroll = 135

C: 14 Warriors - banner of rage, full command, shields = 289
C: 5 Horsemen - musician, spears, shields = 81
C: 5 Warhounds = 30
C: 5 Warhounds = 30

S: 5 Knights - MoK, standard, musician = 260
S: 3 Ogres - MoK, great weapons = 165

R: Warshrine = 130

TOTAL: 1500

I trimmed the jugger - he's pretty sexy without an uber-weapon, and the render is kinda so-so when you can get more AP way cheaper - and decided that immunity to KB was better than a 0+ save, downgraded the sorcerer pretty hardcore, knocked out a warrior (the sorcerer stands in his place now), gave the horsemen a bath to wash the stink off, and found points for a bucket of S6 attaks (and also cleaned up that 'shrine, which is better cheaper anyway). The ogres aren't a 100% great unit, but they give you a strong punch that may have been missing otherwise, as well as another hammer-y unit. Finally a note on the favor: since both the BSB and the jugger have points free, think about whether you'd like the warriors or the knights to be buffed more often, and give the right character the favor to make that happen. The jugger I suppose is more likely to cut an enemy character's head off and use the favor for himself, but the 'shrine boost is a sure thing.

thanks for the reply! You might be right for a lot of things, like the banner of rage and the warhounds. The thing with the marks is more for fluff and converting, and i also like their lore. But perhaps lances aren't very useful (the way they look, they might as well be big weapons).
I thinks i'll keep the marks as they are, but change commands and some equipment (and add hounds). How does that sound?

Later on, i think i'll add Valkia the Bloody as lord choice, as she is very good (and very khornate)
