My tactical marines in aobr come with frag and krak grenades.
When am I allowed to use my grenades, and how?
And how do I use orks stikkbombs?

Are they assault or shooting phase, can I use them whenever?

Yes the concept is weird , they dont use grenade to damage enemies.

They throw it to force the enemies to *hide and duck.

They used to throw grenades for damage back in the old days...
But now, kraks are used to attack vehicles in assault and frags are used to negate the Assaulting Through Cover penalty.
Also, your friend smokes good stuff.
I don't know about ork stuff, sorry.

Horst, you seem to smoke good stuff too.
Magic phase? Wrong game... or wrong era.

To the OP: The Grenades are covered in the rulebook. Check the Index for what page and read up on them

Grenades come in two types: offensive and defensive.

Offensive grenades are either frag or krak and both are only used in the assault phase.

Frag Grenades allow you to strike at normal initiative when you assault into cover (usually you strike at I1)

Krak grenades are used for attacking vehicles and allow you a single S6 attack against them.

Defensive grenades are only of one type and make your attacker lose any bonus attacks that they may get for charging (+1A per model usually)

Your SM captains eye is not a rocket launcher. You may give him digital weapons if you like, as detailed in your codex.

Ork Stik Bombs are Offensive(frag) grenades, as explained above.

All this information is available in the rule book and the relevant codecies.

Polonius wrote:Well, seeing as I literally will die if I ever lose a game of 40k, I find your approach almost heretical. If we were to play each other in a tournament, not only would I table you, I would murder you, your family, every woman you ever loved and burn down your house. I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live?
