I need something I can sit at the computer and knock up some diagrams for the prince's mansions and the anarch's warehouse lair and the elysium riverboat restaurant etc.

Any ideas (would really appreciate something that's not going to cost monies).

cheers

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Meh. Graph paper. Photocopier/scanner. If it's not PnP, it's not PnP.

I mean, what exactly are you looking for? Download a rubbish cad program if you're really into the design element, but frankly you'll get these sorts of things out much faster on paper. Copy and refine in gimp or photoshop as required once your rough draft is up, should you want to distribute them to players.

By the way, White Wolf's Dark Ages Vampire is a thousand times cooler than all of that Sabbat nonsense.

If your realy keen to use CAD go with google sketch up (pretty rubbish) or blender (pretty damn fantastic but hard to learn)

I use visio, because it's what I have. It works for somethings better than others. Great for circuitry though.

My brother-in-law uses autocad because it's what he has.

I have some map creation programs at home, can't remember the name, but I have feeling they are now free to download.

think I payed about £80 at the time about 4yrs ago. Really good programs though, can create landscapes, and go down in scale layers so can zoom in and out.

It also had a city/Dungeon creator which might be more useful for what you are looking for. Lots of layouts, floor designs and objects to place on it.

Will have a look when I get home and get some details.

Seems they have got to City Designer version 3, but the first one I have is still pretty dang amazing.

I think the first one is around for free somewhere, or it was, that may have changed now they have new versions. The last time I checked about a year and a half ago it seemed like they where going under.

Glad they didn't and I'll probably upgrade at some point in the future.
