Hey there, lately I was inspired by Lemming's take on a chaos spawn, that looked like a flying maggot. Here is my take, i added some armor looking plates, and a stinger The paperclips is where i wanted to give him wings, this i figured out that that would be hard as heck to do. Lately i've been pondering weather or not to get the FW blight drone, then i looked at this sitting on my bench, and said.... hmmm, this could save me an arm and a leg over FW the "wing" things are a ork trukk wrecking ball arm, and the lids of 2 paintpots cut up. (while cutting those up, i kinda sliced my finger up to hell, i cut a big chunk out of my thumb) I only have 1 "wing" done, because i need another ork wrekking ball, although i swore i had another sitting around here. (modeling is JUST like playing with Legos, you find stuff when you DONT need them lol) Here is some detailing, I tried to do some exposed muscle looking wounds. Next on my list is too make a gun mount, and a head. I tried to make a tooth filled maw like Lemming's, but I kinda failed at that, i would LOVE to know how he did that. Updates will come as much as I can get them up, C&C very welcome.

To be honest at first it kinda looks like a zombie finger, but really it looks pretty cool. And I agree with KingCracker, this could be really cool.

the model cost $54.00 u.s currency plus shipping. I garuntee if you start putting aside all your change within a month you will have it. Also I do think you should sculpt one too. just do both.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

LOL for that price I might as well get a FW drone.(although I probably will after I'm done win this) plus, where's the fun in modeling of you don't maim yourself somehow?

Well, thanks for the comments guys. Heres some updates of the stuff I did last night.
I added some armor plating on his head, added an "eye" and some guns.
The eye is a spotlight thingy-majig from a chimeria i think.
The underslung gun thing was easier to do than I thought. I have him an assault cannon, ork big shoota, and the barrel of a MG34 from some old toy that I found.
Checklist:
1. Make the other "wing"
2. Find something to use as a propeller inside the wing, because they are empty right now.
3. Add some more fat sacs, wounds, and general nurgly bits.
4. Find a way to base him, I don't really want to just stick a flying base on him and call it good, but I will if I can't think of anything else.
If anyone has any suggestions, please tell.
More updates soon. Thanks for all the feedback.

Looking good so far.
For the props inside the wings, cut yourself some wedges of plasticard or stiff cardboard, and overlap them in a circle for the turbofan sort of look. Add a small cap top and bottom for the central spindle.
Otherwise, try an electronics component shop for some small fan blades the right size if you want to save yourself some work.
Moving this to the Blogs section, as it's more of a WIP thread...

Thanks Insaniak for the suggestion, plus moving the thread lol. I actualy think I have some fan blades sitting around, I'll try to find them and see if any fit.
