So, for the most part, using the GW plastic glue has been a snap, but after a little bit of use, the nozzle gets scuzzed up, and I was wondering if there was such a thing as an attachable nozzle to fine tune the application of the glue in more controlled applications?

First, thanks for the help, second, does what I asked make any sense?

Testors makes exactly what you are describing. Well, it isan't an attachment as much as a bottle with a very fine applicator, but it works very well when you need a fine degree of accutacy with your cement placement. Your local hobby shop (or just Michaels) will sell it.

Testors ftw. Just sucks when the needle gets clogged as it usually does for me, then again I'm not the best when it comes to keeping hobby equipment clean.

I remember yonks ago that some glue bottles like that used to come with a thin piece of wire to help clear out the nozzle if it clogged up.. (the one linked by Cane that is).

It of course, was the one thing I would lose without fail...

I use this glue: (Edit: I only use it for plastic, of course)

It comes with a very thin brush that helps a lot when you are applying it. If the cap would be smaller it would be still easier to use, but nobody is perfect

(Pics aren't mine, just googled)

You can get nozzles that fit the GW plastic glue bottle to give a more fine control of it (I got some a while ago for a mate who hasn't seen the light about Revell/Testors bottles or the liquid poly in a jar issue). Can't remember who made them, but they are a little smaller than the nozzles that come with Zap superglues.

If your bottle has a metal applicator, heat it with a match or cigarette lighter flame until it phut!s. Fuse wire (lighting rated, not general power) also works if flames are not your thing (care is required as polycement IS flammable).

Ninja edit:
I use what Alex Kolodotschko (below) uses for kits. The tamiya stuff in a jar for certain other uses (filling gaps, mainly. It works as a thinner for Squadron Green putty)

I use Revell Contacta Professional with the thin applicator nozzle.
Just buy one of these and use your GW glue for bases, buildings and less precise work.

I've been using this for years and would be my first recommendation; the proof is that it's occasionally in photos of my work area. The nozzle does get bunged sometimes but it's quickly cleared with a length of brass rod pushed down. Afterwards the metal tube comes in handy for things like gun barrels and the like.

Personally I refrain from all glues but one;

Loctite Super Attack.
Works wonders for both metal and plastic figures.
I've used it for well over 15 years now and will not be switching to something else anytime soon..

yes, the tip can get clogged on it, but pretty much only on the outside, and then I just take my swiss army knife and cut the dried glue clean off and it's as good as new.

Cumes with a different types of glue as well as in different types of containers, the one I posted above is the one I use, but on occation I also use the squeeze bottle (contains the same glue but in a diff. bottle) seen in this pic:

Where can this Revell wonder glue be normally picked up? I don't mind trying other products, as I switch between Locktite for Super Glue and a few metal/stone/wood glues for the mentioned.

I buy it from either Hobbycraft or Antics model shop.
Sorry if this isn't much help.

Insta-cure glue (found in most fine hobby shops) makes a disposable tip that works wonders. it slips over the top of the bottle and extends down a couple inches into a tiny hose. It's hard to describe and the one picture I found isn't great.

My hobby shop guy tosses in a pack of them when you buy glue, but you can get them cheap (a buck for a half dozen or so). They are one shot wonders. The second the glue dries, it goes in the garbage, but it's cheap and for the most part, if you need that find a tip, you usually only need it occasionally, so you're not out much.

I'm assuming it will fit on the GW glue, but I don't use GW Super Glue or plastic cement, so I'm only going by memory of what the tips look like. Check your hobby shop. I haven't seen them at Michael's lately, but if you have a specialty shop, they should have them.

Hm, can't seem to find that Revel Contacta in the US. Which Testors glue do you guys use? I find multiple different types on their website (for plastic even).
